P.2 Art.123 of the Family Code of Ukraine: "In case of transferring a human embryo, conceived by spouses as a result of applying ART, into the body of another woman, the child's parents shall be the spouses".
Law of Georgia “On Health Protection”. Article 143. Extracorporeal fertilization (IVF) is allowed: a) For the purpose of treatment of infertility, as well as in case of risk of transmission of genetic disease on a wife's or a husband's part, by using sex cells or an embryo of the couple or a donor, if the couple's written consent has been obtained. b) If a woman has no uterus, for the purpose of transfer and growth of the embryo obtained as a result of fertilization to the uterus of another woman (“surrogate mother”), the couple’s written consent is an obligatory. The couple is considered to be parents in case of childbirth with the responsibility and authority ensuing from it. A donor or a “surrogate mother” has no right to be recognized as a parent of the born child. Article 144. For the purpose of artificial fertilization, it is possible to use female and male sex cells or an embryo conserved by the method of freezing. The time of conservation is determined according to the couple’s will by established procedure.
If you choose twins, how much will the cost increase? A: The doctor can choose the appropriate embryo for transfer according to the wishes of the parents. After PGS, the sex of the fetus is known. This step needs to be decided during the embryo transfer. The embryo transfer of twins is also allowed. When choosing a surrogate mother, it should be noted that not all surrogate mothers receive twins and become pregnant. However, due to the high risk of premature birth with twins, a considerable number of doctors do not recommend it. Prospective parents who choose twins need to add an additional $5,000 in compensation and medical expenses, and bear the possible risk of premature birth.
A: If the surrogate mother fails the medical examinations, we can change the surrogate mother. All the expenses related with the surrogate mother's medical examination and the previous screening costs will be covered by us.
A: During pregnancy, the behavior of surrogate mothers is bounded by contracts and legal norms. The details are the following: 1) Sexual Behavior. The surrogate mother agrees to follow the medical advice of the intended parent's reproductive physician to refrain from sexual activity or other activities that may allow sperm to enter her body for four weeks prior to the scheduled embryo transfer. 2) Provisions for tobacco products, drugs, nutrition. The surrogate mother further agrees to abide by all reasonable medical instructions given by a reproductive specialist as well as by her own independent specialist in obstetrics and gynecology and any physician employed by the intended parents. From the moment of preparation for the program and until the birth itself, the surrogate mother agrees not to use tobacco products, do not be in the presence of smokers, use or consume any illegal drugs or substances that may cause harm the child, whether or not expressly prohibited by her obstetrician, from the date of this agreement through her entire pregnancy. The surrogate mother also agrees not to use any prescription or over-the-counter medicines, creams or ointments without the written consent of the above-mentioned physician and without informing and consulting the intended parents. During pregnancy and any period during which the surrogate mother provides breastfeeding to the intended parent, the surrogate mother agrees not to use medications that are not currently listed by the State Food and Drug Administration as a Class A and/or Class B over-the-counter drug as of the date of this Agreement. In addition, the surrogate mother agrees not to drink alcoholic beverages starting from the beginning of the medical cycle and during the entire pregnancy. To avoid contagion of sexually transmitted diseases, the surrogate mother agrees not to have any permanent body tattoos or piercings during the terms of this agreement. 3) Rules for participating in any sports or lifting heavy objects. To avoid physical strain while preparing for the SM Program and pregnancy. The exercises during pregnancy of the Surrogate Mother must be agreed and authorized by the Physician of the Medical Institution. The regulations on lifting heavy objects are beyond the explicit limits of the reproductive endocrinologist of the intended parent or the obstetrician of the surrogate mother. Lifting any heavy objects (including children). 4) The surrogate mother can’t take X-rays, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging examinations without the consent of the doctor, unless they are performed on vital signs, and cannot use the services of a chiropractor without the prior consent of the Physician of Medical Institution.
A: When choosing a surrogate mother, the age, height, weight, medical records, responsibility and good family support are the key factors to consider. The cost of an experienced surrogate mother will be higher, and prospective parents with conditions are advised to choose an experienced pregnant mother.
A: In Ukraine and Georgia have a list of documents required for the procedure. This list includes "a notarized copy of a written joint agreement between a surrogate mother and a woman (man) or a spouse". The surrogacy agreement must be in writing and signed before a notary prior to the embryo transfer. At a bare minimum, the following issues should be addressed: surrogate mother's health status; conditions which surrogate mother should observe; medical institution where the procedure will be performed; surrogate mother's remuneration, additional expenses, timing of payment(s); expenses connected with impregnation, pregnancy, act of delivery and registration of child; procedure of child transfer and registration; any force majeure provisions, including the delivery of handicapped child, delivery of more than one child, delivery of dead child, delivery complications resulting in surrogate mother's future infertility; confidentiality provisions and non-disclosure of information to the child or any third party, etc.
Answer: After the surrogate mother completes the test-tube hospital, the inspection items during pregnancy are the same as those of normal pregnancy. The medical insurance purchased by the prospective parents for the surrogate mother will cover the inspection fee during pregnancy. No special circumstances and no additional costs will be incurred.
A: Surrogate mothers live in their own homes, just like during their normal pregnancy. Surrogate mothers live freely, fully integrate into their family life, and feel very relaxed, which is also good for the fetus.
A: Guests can visit the surrogate mother at any time, and the number of meetings with the surrogate mother is not limited. However, due to the distance between the guests, most of them choose social software or email communication. If there is time, the prospective parents can accompany the surrogate mother for the obstetric examination.
A: Surrogate mothers live freely in their own homes. What she eats and what she does are not supervised by anyone, all relying on self-consciousness.
A: For a surrogacy arrangement with one's own sperm and egg (already have qualified embryos), please refer to the following process: 1) Sign a surrogacy service agreement. 2) Coordinate the transport and reception of embryos. 3) Prepare legal documents necessary for surrogacy. 4) Provide qualified surrogate mothers according to the intention of the prospective parents. 5) Arrange for a test-tube doctor to conduct various preliminary examinations and assessments on our surrogate mothers. 6) After the surrogate mother comes to complete her period, the surrogate mother can be arranged for re-examination and endometrial preparation. 7) Confirm that the endometrial and hormone levels of the surrogate mother are suitable for embryo transfer. 8) The lawyer drafts the surrogacy contract of the surrogate mother, signs and notarizes the contract. 9) The surrogate mother enters the transplant cycle and performs the transplant after about one month of medication. 10) Blood can be drawn for pregnancy test 10-12 days after transplantation, and fetal heart rate can be measured 6-8 weeks after transplantation. 11) The surrogate mother can stop the drug treatment after the pregnancy is stable for about 10 weeks, and complete it from the IVF center. 12) Surrogate mothers regularly go to the clinic for obstetric examinations. 13) At the 12th week of pregnancy the NT check for malformation has to be done. 14) At 12-28 weeks of pregnancy the 4D inspection has to be provided, a close check of fetal development, maternity clothes and bonuses are provided, and coordinate matters of residence have to be coordinated. 15) Expected parents arrive to Ukraine/Georgia to welcome their baby 1-2 weeks before the due date. 16) The surrogate mother gives birth, the certificate/paternity test has to be done. 17) The baby gets a travel passport, and the parents and the baby embark on the road back home together.
A: In case if at least two doctors will confirm that the baby during pregnancy may not be healthy, the doctor will ask the surrogate mother to perform an induced abortion.
A: Yes, everything is already included in the contract, but we will also list the possible new costs in the contract, such as the extra costs incurred by twins, the cost of PGS, the application fee for Taiwanese patients' travel permit, premature birth Children's medical expenses, etc.
A: If the surrogate mother has a spontaneous or induced abortion, we guarantee that the embryo transfer attempt will be restarted, and the prospective parents will not have to bear the additional cost.
A: The expenses of the surrogate mother's private attending of physician, medical drug expenses and delivery expenses are all paid by us. If force majeure occurs during pregnancy or childbirth, such as illness or death of the surrogate mother, all compensation shall be borne by us.
A: We will arrange a paternity test (at the expense of the guest) to ensure that the child is the guest's own child.
A: To carry out a surrogacy project, you must be mentally prepared and you must understand that surrogacy is a risky medical technology "investment" that is unpredictable, unlike buying a visible product. Even if it is a natural human pregnancy, miscarriage and other results may occur. The reasons are very complicated. The current level of science and technology is still unable to know exactly the reasons. No doctor can guarantee that every mother or surrogate mother can go from pregnancy to birth 100% smooth. This includes no guarantee that one transplant will be implanted, no guarantee that there will be no miscarriage, and no guarantee that the child will be born 100% healthy. The customer needs to bear the possible consequences, and the child is not a commodity and cannot be returned. In addition, the surrogacy process is relatively long. If it goes smoothly, it will take one to one and a half years to carry the child. If you want to specify the child of the zodiac, you must prepare in advance and allow enough time.
A: Because surrogacy is legal and public, in order to ensure that no mistakes are made, the process is slow. From the start of surrogacy to the delivery of the child, it will take one to one and a half years if it goes smoothly. For example, if the surrogate mother fails the physical examination, she cannot enter the legal process. If the legal process is not completed, the test tube hospital will not start the transplant process. If a surrogate mother is selected today, it will take at least three months to transplant. It is recommended that you contact us as soon as possible to make arrangements.
